Is the EAC single currency project realistic for the region?

The idea is realistic in the long term, but not immediately. Challenges include:
- Different countries have uneven inflation and debt levels
- Political cooperation is inconsistent
- Countries must establish a regional central bank, which isn’t ready yet
- National currencies are still important for local control
The project is possible, but it may take several more years to become practical.
