Is it rude for tourists to bargain in Ugandan markets?

Come on! No, it’s not rude—bargaining is normal in most Ugandan local markets. Vendors often expect it.
Just do it politely and with a smile.
A simple “Can you reduce a bit?” is enough. Say, “Nsalilako” can make magic.
But remember: supermarkets and malls have fixed prices, so bargaining doesn’t apply there.
